The Australian Trade and Investment Commission and State Governments hosted the Australian Sports Technology Program as part of the ASTN Excursion to the US (ASTN Global Trade Mission).
Delegates and guests were able to learn through a Q&A session facilitated by Elise Webb from Tim Stollznow (MyVenue) and Chris Grant (Rosterfy) about their market entry journeys before Mike Ballengee introduced Fivecast. Chad Lewis of rating agency S&P Global provided an update on projects and investments into North America’s sports infrastructure, before Amanda Whichard of Delaware North outlined insights into US procurement. The afternoon session concluded with a very informative panel discussion moderated by Rachel Howard (Austrade) with Alysse Soll (Underdog Venture Team), Meredith McPherron (Drive by Draft Kings) and Michael Spirito (Sapphire Sports) who shared their views on the US investment landscape.
The day was crowned with an evening networking reception hosted at the American Australian Association (AAA) with opening remarks by Lily Balatincz (COO AAA), the Welcome Address by Consul-General for Australia in New York, Heather Ridout and keynote by Jerry Jacobs Jr. (Co-CEO of Delaware North) who also participated in a moderated Q&A session with Rick Burton (Playbk Sports).
